Media personalities Tony Jardine and Maurice Hamilton will be in action when the Intercontinental Rally Challenge resumes with the Donnelly Group Circuit of Ireland Rally on April 6/7.

Jardine, a Formula One television analyst, and Maurice Hamilton, a print and radio journalist specialising in F1, will take part in a Ralliart Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX run by the British ProSpeed organisation. They will be eligible for IRC Production Cup honours.

“It’s a quick and reliable car and should perform well on the Tarmac stages,” said Jardine. “Maurice is from Bangor and this will be his second time competing on home soil as my trusty co-driver. I always look forward to rallying in Ireland and think it should be a challenging, but fun event for us.”

Jardine has made ad-hoc appearances in the IRC in the past and has considerable experience competing on international events.

Before the action gets underway with the Titanic Super Special Stage on Friday afternoon, Jardine will host a rally forum for fans at the Armagh City Hotel from 20:00hrs on Wednesday 4 April.
