Singapore fireworks as Massa shoves

There was fireworks in the sky after the Singapore night race and then fireworks in the paddock between Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa.

Brazilian Massa, highly critical of Hamilton’s aggressive driving in the past, was annoyed with the McLaren driver after a qualifying incident and then enraged after the race.

Hamilton was penalised for puncturing Massa’s rear tyre, and so the Ferrari driver returned the favour whilst the Briton was being interviewed by German television after the race.

Eyewitness observers said Massa physically pulled Hamilton and slapped his shoulder whilst sarcastically saying "congratulations".

"Massa lays into Lewis verbally and then said to have shoved him in TV scrum," The Times’ Kevin Eason revealed on Twitter.

"Again, he cannot use his mind," Massa told the BBC. "Even in qualifying, so can you imagine in the race? He could have caused a big accident and he’s paying for that. I was in the middle of the track and then got a puncture, which cost me a lot. When the Safety Car came in I had the wrong tyres. The FIA must look at this and penalise him all the time. He can’t even listen to his father, so can you imagine he listens to me?"
