Todt facing contender for new FIA term
"This is not what I intended nor what I wanted"
Jean Todt could face a contender as he vies for another term as FIA president.
London’s Times newspaper said the potential candidate is David Ward, who worked alongside Frenchman Todt’s predecessor Max Mosley.
Ward is currently the director-general of the FIA foundation for the automobile and society.
"This is not what I intended nor what I wanted, but I am certainly thinking about (standing) because it is important to have a debate," he is quoted as saying.
"You can only have a debate if there is a choice of candidates and there is no debate if there is no choice."
