PS Engineering has signed with Kristian Sohlberg to run a Ford Fiesta S2000 on two events in the 2012 IRC Series. Together with codriver Peter Flythström, Kristian will compete in the Rally San Marino and Rally Romania in a PSEngineering owned Ford Fiesta S2000.

Kristian Sohlberg says he is happy about the possibility to compete again: "This is a great chance for me. This is all made possible with the support of my sponsors and Petter Solberg Engineering. I do hope this is the start on a longterm relationship and I am looking forward to work with a professional team and hopefully do more together in the future. I had the chance to test the Ford Fiesta last week, and I felt really comfortable in the car from the beginning."

The 34-year-old Finn started rallying in 1999 in the Finnish Championship, and has been competing in the WRC, the national series and the European series many times since then. He was last competing in the WRC with Tommi Mäkinen Racing in 2010. Best result in the WRC is a 6th place from Rally Sardegna in 2006.

Petter Solberg is also happy that PSEngineering is able to support a second driver: "Kristian is a talented and also experienced driver, so I am very pleased that we are able to support him in his return in rallying. For the moment we have agreed on two events in the IRC series, but hopefully there will be more to come."

Kristian Sohlberg and PSEngineering will attend the following events:
6-7 July - Rally San Marino gravel
20-22 July - Sibiu Rally Romania, gravel

PS Engineering is based in Torsby, Sweden and owned by former World Rally Champion Petter Solberg. PS Engineering will also run a Ford Fiesta S2000 for Patrik Flodin in the 2012 IRC series, together with tyre-manufacturer Hankook.
