Tarquini remains the king of pole
With 13 pole positions
With four pole positions and nine fastest laps during the season, Rob Huff emerged as the fastest of the field, followed by Yvan Muller with four poles and eight fastest laps.
Despite the Chevrolet drivers dominated the qualifying in 2011 (Alain Menu completed the clean sweep claiming also four pole positions) Gabriele Tarquini remains the “king of the pole”. With 13 pole positions the 2009 World Champion leads by two from Augusto Farfus, Menu and Muller.Speaking of fastest laps, Huff leads the all time statistics with 18, two more than Tarquini, Jörg Müller and Andy Priaulx.
