This week’s Geko Ypres Rally, round six of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge, will be a dream come true for driver Adrian Fernémont.

Fernémont, the current leader of the Fiesta SportTrophy in his native Belgium, has always wanted to compete on the famous asphalt event and will get the opportunity this year in the M-Sport Ford Fiesta R2 he shares with co-driver Samuel Maillen.

“I have dreamed of competing at this rally for years,” said the Belgian youngster, who will be one of the contenders for IRC 2WD Cup honours in Ypres. “And thanks to my participation in the Fiesta Trophy, this dream has become a reality.”

Luxembourg’s Hugo Arellano will also be a contender for Fiesta honours in Belgium, as will British driver Jamie Brown.
