It won’t just be the stars of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge that will be racing against the clock on the Titanic Super Special Stage in Belfast on Friday.

Sporting celebrities including former Ulster rugby captain Simon Best, television sports presenter Ruth Gorman and former heavyweight boxing champion Martin Rogan, will take part in a Celebrity Challenge over the same 1.80-kilometre test that will form the opening stage of the IRC qualifier.

The Celebrity Challenge is part of a packed afternoon of entertainment in Belfast’s Titanic Quarter, where the famous Titanic liner was built more than 100 years ago. A motorcycle stunt display, runs by classic rally cars and a circus performance will also form part of the action, which gets underway at 15:00hrs local time.
